The game was an all rookie linup for the Eagles and for the most part they seemed to get on ok but the team overall had a problem catching on to the enforcement of the rules so we were shorthanded for quite a bit of the game. I thought they either gave up or got tired towards the end of the game. I didn't see much in scoring prowess displayed today but you could see a handful of skill in the lineup (can't recall names as they were all new and this is only my second visit to the rink this year). As for goaltending I really didn't see anything much that impressed me, maybe it is nearves but the goalies seemed to get themselves out of position by over commiting and leaving a gaping hole in the net on more than a few occasions. It is early to make any predictions but once again we have to stay out of the box and give ourselves a chance to get in the game and we need goalies that can stop pucks.
Let's see what the next game brings.

Yes, the new rules seem to be making the games pretty high-scoring as well. I haven't seen any games yet but are there a lot of penalties being called?
