with the exception of a few stupid penalties, and Im sure the players know who took them, we had a chance to win this game. As usual the winning goals and im tired of seeing this goal after goal is always in the top half of the net because larose is always on the ice. Everyone in the league knows to shoot high and its in. Everyone knows except our two dummys from the SAAN store front window, know that the players on every other team knows this. It is with great frustration that we get a powerplay with 1 minute 22 seconds left and can't 1 get the goalie out, and 2 just get out of our own end. This shows that either the players are having trouble understanding a play to get out of their end OR which I tend to think, is that the coaches have no system. If you look out on the ice you see that players are standing around doing nothing, and this is because they have not been told what to do. We finally get good players and they arent being use properly! How many times must I say that these dorks have to go! But on the other hand, it was great to see such great penalty killing, these guys know how to kill and I know their plays are too smart to come from the coaches!

have to agree with ts on a few points. no pp. watched the bench tonite and noticed that every time there was a line change coming the players were looking back at the and iuse this term loosely the coaches in confusion. nobody seemed to know who was next on the ice. i also found it frustrating in the last 90 seconds.was the timeout not make a breakout plan and get setup to put the sixth guy on. i guess we are stuck with the coaches so make the best of it. felt sorry for versteeg tonite every time he made a hit he was gone to the box. i know wolchek was probably fired up tonite but bad penalties and at the wrong time. great pk guys. lets see the other guy in net soon. larose just keeps going done. he has to remember that when he is down the top half of the net is open. stand up johnny and nobody beats you. happy thanksgiving.

The net is the red rectangle thing with netting on it at the other end of the ice. The goal is to shoot at the net and try to get puck in the net. This means that you have scored!! Shoot the puck from the blue line and follow it down. Be there and ready for rebound shots. You need to shoot at the net in order to get a goal.

Good game tonight for both teams, with lots of physical play. The thing that impressed me the most about camrose is their transition game. whenever there was a turnover, they would turn it up quickly, usually resulting in a good scoring chance. The Dragons skated with them tonight, and the effort was there, but you are not going to win many games with 19 shots. Especially with the new rules. All and all i think the Dragons have improved a great deal since the 1st weekend of the season and I think everyone who wrote them off when they started 0-6, will be suprised come years end.

Your dragons lost by one goal to Camrose, who quite possibly could be the best in the league this year. Time will tell, but you only lost by one and you are bitching and complaining. It is the start of the season, coaches are trying all different kinds of line combinations, pp, pk etc. From where I am sitting I think the Dragons played pretty well.

Icye; you shouldn't shoot your mouth off when you don't know the whole story! Young is playing with a bad shoulder that would keep many players out of the lineup but he plays anyway, despite the fact that every time he shoots or passes it hurts. He can't shoot the puck with any authority at all and if he gets hit he could do furtherl damage to it. The Dragons are short of centers at the moment with Chisholm out too so don't knock Young if he appears to be dumping and passing off more than he usually does; at least he has enough heart and desire to help the team that he plays injured!!

ya a bad shoulder........thats good for stick handling up the ice through players, hes just looking to get creamed at centre ice possible putting him out for the year, he should be watching th games until his shoulder gets better I think

Young probably should be a scratch due to injury but even at 50% he can contribute as evidenced last night by his assist on the only goal we got! He has 3 days now to get healthier so hopefully by the weekend he will be 100%. ON a different note, I am tired of the knocks on LaRose. Of course the top of the net is open when he goes down; that's true of most goalies. They play the percentages i.e. most goals are scored in the lower half plus it takes a great shot to beat them up top as witnessed by the 2nd goal last night which went in off the top bar. What you critics aren't saying is how many goals he saves down low that probably would go in on other goalies. Larose has probably got the quickest pads in the league, regularly shuts down clean breakaways (even 2 on 0) and faces as many or more shots per game than most goalies. I haven't seen a team this year that has anyone in goal that impressed me more than our goalies and I don't think any of our losses could be pinned on netminding alone. There are a lot more mistakes being made in front of the net then in the net, they just don't all result in a score.

Have to agree, without Larose the dragons would have lost 5 to 1 last night
But on the powerplay don't try to carry the puck over the blue line dump the puck in.
Player need to stop trying to make the extra move in front of the net, shoot the puck, also the dragon's break out stinks, start getting one of the forward's to go out to the center ice so it forces the defencemen to pull off the blueline (same way Werenka did all last year)

The Dragons played well last night, for the 1st Period. They had desire, which was good to see. They wanted to win, and Tony, I agree 100%, get rid of the morons running the bench. They've got the talent, they just need to put it all together. They didn't have a lapse at all last night, but still didn't seem to have the strategic advantage. They were finishing their checks, hustling, and had a good overall effort. I'd like to see that every night!
