sounds like a big fight at the end of the game between Canmore and Camrose. Final score 4-2 for Camrose

I guess the flying frenchmen (Lessard and Guillemette) got going at the end there.

If by "got going" you mean instigate a line brawl when it's 6 on 4...at the end of a game they had no chance of winning...against none of the other teams toughest players...because you already got killed earlier by one of them... then classlessly feeding continual shots to a goalie already on the ice...then yes those two clowns "got going".

The Kodiaks are even more useless than the Royals at getting the game report up promptly but now that it is finally up I only see 1 instigator penalty and that would be to ........ the Kodiaks goalie.
And you possibly also may have noted the pair of match penalties to the two Eagles players?

He got it for trying to even up the odds from 6-4 to 6-5. The lopsided brawl was already underway when he had no choice but to join.

By the way, I think Mr. Referee deserves much of the blame for the incident. He let some stupid rough stuff go (to both teams) in the dying minutes, setting the precedent for after the buzzer. Also the three stripes failed to seperate the players before anything too serious got underway. An easily avoidable situation had the zebras done their job properly at the end (which would have been the first time all game that they did).

According to my source, Michalsky wasn't even on the ice. It was a different defenseman. Anyone confirm that?
Also one of the Eagles did not engage in the fight so it was 5 on 4 before the goalie joined in.

Not sure...there were too many bodies all over the place. I'm sure the league will be reviewing the tape and so everything should be straightened up in regards to suspensions.

I didn't note whether he was or wasn't there.
It was 5-4 to start, with two Eagles on 1 Kodiaks.... so goaltender York joined in. Lessard was not originally involved and met York as he entered the fracas.
I expect he got the match for throwing about 10 shots to the face of York after he was thrown to the ice in their fight.... with the linesmen otherwise busy. It was certainly over the line by a ways.
As Eldrick suggests - the bulk of the blame for this lies squarely at the feet of stripes.
I don't think I have ever seen one of these happen where neither bench was yelling at each other(coaches) by the end of it - instead hollering and fingerpointing at stripes alone.

Nice too see our new goaltender, Ryan Lafferty (another goalie from alberni), get a shutout in his first game
Fox dressed as the backup since it's a waste to dress 2 - 20 year old goalies... anybody know what happen to Reid? no longer on team roster

It could have turned worse if Boris hadn't grabbed Chatwins jersey before he left the bench to take care of business. And with Stockwell in the pen box itching to get out I can feel for the pen box guys trying to keep a caged animal at bay!

I think he is comparing it to the Eagles live game report which is updated as it happens. As is the case with many teams it is hard to follow the game when it gives you no more information than the scoreline does.

Yeh... well, see - when our team goes on the road, we have a thing called live radio and internet broadcasts.
I know it's no live game report - but it's alright.

I don't think anyone even mentioned broadcasts at all but in mentioning it I will say that judging by your past broadcasts (which I was sitting next to JJ) there was no way it could be called anything close to an accurate accounting of what was happening on the ice aside from who scored the goals and sat in the penalty box. In asking JJ once about his play by play in not so many words he told me it had to favor the people who paid him to do it.

ES was complaining about Kodiaks and Royals 'not being up to speed' - and I was simply suggesting that perhaps your own house should be 'up to speed' before slamming others for not being so.

And as pointed out previously the Eagles House is up to speed on the league mandated game sheet, in fact there are few that are up to speed on that process. If Kim Marsh was still the president the live updated game sheet would not be an option, it would be required. However with the change of presidents, as the new boss was getting settled, the live game sheet requirement was postponed for a year. So save yer pennies for a laptop and a wireless router.

league mandated game sheet....
The league currently mandates the game sheet be posted within 90 minutes of the end of the game.
I believe everyone is in compliance.

I do not Know Reids stats, but if he is any good hopefully we will see him in a Bobcats jersey soon, our young team needs a goalie to win some games for us.

There you are wrong. Although it is getting better not everyone is in compliance at all times, which makes me wonder why the teams don't do it live as it takes only a few minutes to finish the sheet after the game has ended instead of struggling to get it done before the server shuts it off.
