Bobcats win 4 to 3, way to go boys. Pretty even game both in shots and power plays.

Second game follows the usual script. Storm takes a 6 - 2 lead into the third and what happens.................. fights, fights, and more fights.
Expect both teams to be short a couple of players after what the announcers discribe as a "dogpile behind the net". Sounded like a Bobcat player drove to the net and a Storm player took an exception to this and checked him into the net. Bottom line is that the Storm have a 4 on 3 PP. pitiful.

Storm win second game 7 - 2. Hopefully the players got the fighting out of their systems but a few of the players who got their "clocks cleaned" will probly want to prove it was a fluke that they lost (from both teams).
Bobcats came out firing in the first with 18 shots but only managed 3 shots in the second and 3 (announcers said 5) shots in the third.

I just have to say that the Storm took a 6-2 lead and then gooned it up.
Fran sent Sawers out after Lutz ..........Then Ricky Wong jumped one of our rookies (classy).
Turner got checked from behind into the net and when he stood back up was jumped.........but Bast and Gorst came to help and Gorst showed why you don't mess with cowboys.
Have to say that Fran will not go very far with this team. He has some great talent there but not good coaching. Blais & Sather are absolutely dynamite together. unstoppable on the PP. GP would be smart NOT to renew Fran's contract.

Why do you think they won't go far ?
Also wondering why you think GP should not renew Fran's Contract?

Actually it started when Lutz fought Sawyers and got a good punch in at the end (before linesmen jumped in) to knock Sawyers to his knees. Then Wong had to prove the toughness of the Storm by picking someone on the Bobcats lineup his own size (just happen to be a rookie with little fighting experience). At this point tempers were high and when Turner charged the net the Storm player (sorry, don't remember who it was and boxscores still are not posted:confused: ) must have thought that Stehr was a little too close to being checked and decided to put out the usual message of "touching the goalie is an instant challange for a fight".
Obviously I wasn't there and this is my interpretation of what the announcers said and my "feelings" of what the players may have thought.

GPFan 1 your a joke, everything was fine until a GP player cross checked Turner from behind, into the net. What I seen was a GP team that got very dirty after they were up by 2 or 3 goals and one of the things they were doing was crashing our net all night, you see or hear what you want.
As for caring, their are a lot of Blazer/Bobcat fans that have been supporting this team through all of the adversity we have seen. We are a team that is finally turning things around and to hear you say that no one cares is out of line. We lost a lot of games early in the year because we did not have any experienced goaltenders. With 30 games to go we are only 9 games under .500, you better watch what you say, it might come back to bite you in the playoffs.

Well, according to that other thread, crashing the net is an acceptable play. Didn't hear any "goalie interferance" calls so I guess our players knew when to swerve:D .
