Congrats to Grant on his signing with the Calgary Flames.
Grant played for the Storm for the 2000/2001 season where he logged 24 goals and 49 assists over 53 games. He then played two years for Minnesota State in the NCAA before signing with the Sharks.
Grant's first year with the Sharks in the 05/06 season saw the 5' 11" right centerman log in 47 games while tallying 10 goals, 12 assists and 14 penalty minutes. He spent the 06/07 season on the Sharks farm team in Worcester where over 59 games he scored 14 goals and had 25 assists.
Grant's first game in the NHL was on Nov. 23, 2005 against the Calgary Flames where he also scored his first NHL goal.
Calgary has signed Grant to a one year contract.

I would like to add my congratulations as well. When given a chance to play, he put up very good numbers in San Jose a year and a half ago. Pro-rated, he would have been the 4th leading scorer on the Sharks that year I believe. If he cracks the Flames lineup, Oiler fans should be irate. A kid from their own back yard who, at worst, would help bolster their newly acquired farm team with some offensive help and leadership. If the Flames see Stevenson fitting in, why didn't the Oilers?

Springfield is packed with players already - most of the Oiler Prospects may end up playing in Stockton (ECHL) again this year. Edmonton has no stortage of young talented players, maybe they didn't have room for him. Time will tell...
