Matlo is a big kid that skates pretty well. A little lazy, and all of his nine points came in the first 10 games of the season. Got in to a slump and then never got any ice time to try to get out. Mainly rode the pine or was sat out the whole second half of the season.

I guess we will see how he likes the Coach Miller form of coaching. Coach will not put up with lazy players, the staff must have seen something in him to acquire him. Time will tell...thanks for the info...puck on

My guess...he is a little soft for a 20 yr old and the EAGLES need to toughen up a little...puck on

Stann77 was dead on. Matlo had a great camp in Kootenay last year and started out the season with a bang. Then he got into a slump and after that, didn't get much ice time at all. Needs a coaching team to build his confidence and hopefully the Canmore team can do that for him. He's a great kid and we will miss him. We wish him all the best in Canmore.

And we will welcome Ivo to Drum as well.
