PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Cougars have acquired 19 year old LW Morgan MacLean from the Everett Silvertips.

MacLean, a 6’0”, 175 lbs. product of Grand Prairie, AB, skated in 52 games with the Grand Prairie Storm of the AJHL last season, registering 17 goals, 16 assists, 33 points, and 73 PIM. This season, MacLean has suited up in 4 games with the Everett Silvertips, recording 1 assist.

MacLean will join the Cougars on the road as they prepare for their Eastern road swing.

The next stop for Morgan will be back in GP if he can't put points up on the board . Not good enough as a checker to stay in the line up.

I thought Grande Prairie had his AJHL/CJAHL rights. Or do they lose his rights as soon as he goes to the Dub.

GP does still have his Junior A rights. The Prince George Cougars are a WHL team. The Prince George Spruce Kings are the Junior A team.

My reason for posting this was a heads up. As Slapshot said, "The next stop for Morgan will be back in GP if he can't put points up on the board . Not good enough as a checker to stay in the line up." Players that bounce around the WHL (Brandon, Everett, now Prince George in this case) often find their way back to Junior A.
