Should be good for both teams. Oiler's are getting an excellent young, 1a goalie and DV is adding some much needed leadership for their dressing room.

What do the Oilers need with ANOTHER goaltender??? Are they a clearing house for goalies or what's the story???? Where did Chad Fox go???

How many teams trade their captain for a backup goalie. They have a whole year to find a replacement for Eidsness....... If Eidsness got hurt or something then this could be a good deal for now. Kind of early in the season to start rebuilding though. I don't think a trade like this makes the Oilers a better team this season. Lessens the loss of Brad next year for sure. But does nothing to help them go further in the post season this year.

Fox did report to Okotoks. He found out that he wouldn't be playing much so I believe he asked for his release. Not sure where he's at now though.:confused:
